The short version
- CloudLens analyzes your cloud and recommends changes. You decide what to act on.
- Visibility uses a read-only role. Nothing changes in your cloud unless you set up a separate role and someone approves the change.
- Recommendations and findings are advisory. Savings and risk reduction depend on what you implement.
- You stay responsible for your cloud usage and its cost.
1. The service
CloudLens is provided by Qarbix and includes:
- CloudLens FinOps. cost analytics, allocation, anomaly detection, budgets, recommendations, savings proposals, scheduling and commitment and end-of-life tracking.
- CloudLens Atlas. a security graph, attack paths, findings, data governance and compliance scoring.
- Integrations. Jira, Slack, Microsoft Teams, SAML SSO, AWS and Azure.
Features marked "Early access" are previews. They may change, and they aren't covered by any service level commitment. By using CloudLens you agree to these terms.
2. Cloud access and permissions
- Read-only visibility. You create a read-only role in your cloud account. Through it we can read cost, usage and configuration data. We cannot create, modify or delete resources with it.
- Actions you approve. Some features, such as applying a savings proposal or running a schedule, change resources. They use a separate role that you choose to create, and they run only after an approval in CloudLens. You can remove that role at any time.
- Your control. You can revoke our access at any time by deleting or changing the roles in your cloud account.
3. Recommendations, findings and limits
- Advisory. Recommendations and security findings are based on the data we can read and on established practice. They are not guarantees of savings or of security.
- Best effort. Every environment is different, and some context isn't visible from cloud data. Check a recommendation against your workload before you apply it.
- Coverage. If a check can't run because a permission is missing, CloudLens shows it as not assessed. It is not a pass.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate account and organization information.
- Keep your CloudLens credentials secure and control who has access.
- Configure access roles as described in our documentation.
- Review recommendations before implementing them, and approve changes only when you're ready for them.
- Remain responsible for all cloud costs in your accounts.
- Tell us promptly about any security concern or unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share credentials or allow unauthorized access;
- reverse engineer, copy or resell the platform;
- scrape or bulk-extract data from CloudLens with automated tools, other than through the API where your plan includes it;
- interfere with or disrupt the service;
- use the service for anything illegal, or misrepresent who you are.
6. Plans and payment
- Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Price changes. We give at least 30 days' notice. New prices apply from your next billing cycle, and you can cancel if you don't agree.
- Refunds. Fees are generally non-refundable. If your first month doesn't work out, contact us within 14 days and we'll work with you to make it right.
7. Suspension and termination
- By you. Cancel at any time from account settings or by contacting support. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
- By us. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, fails payment after reasonable attempts, harms other customers or the service, or where the law requires it.
- Afterwards. Access ends and data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, after reasonable time to export it.
8. Limitation of liability
- As is. The service is provided "as is" and "as available".
- Cloud costs. We aren't responsible for your cloud costs, including when a recommendation doesn't produce the expected saving.
- Cap. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Excluded damages. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, data or business opportunities.
9. Intellectual property
- Ours. The platform, its detection rules, models and documentation belong to Qarbix.
- Yours. You own your cloud data and anything you upload. You give us a license to use it only to provide the service to you.
- Feedback. We may use suggestions you send to improve the service, without obligation.
10. Changes to these terms
For significant changes, we email account owners and post a notice in the product at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel.
11. General
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Qarbix is incorporated.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Qarbix, unless you have signed a separate order form or agreement with us.
- Severability. If a provision can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a right doesn't waive it.
